Shipping

Please note that currently our Nitty Gritty website is not set up to automatically calculate shipping charges to any part of the world. While we can ship to virtually any address in the world our web site provider does not offer or provide calculated shipping charges which you usually find with some other online companies like “Amazon” etc.  While we hope to have this feature added in the future but at the moment there is no estimated date for this upgrade.

When you place an order with Nitty Gritty, we will estimate shipping charges and delivery dates for your order based on the availability of your items and the shipping options available including USPS and UPS/FedEx.  We will then send you a PayPal Payment Request for these shipping charges. Alternatively, if you prefer to pay your shipping charges by Credit Card, please call us at 909-625-5525 and we will be happy to process your payment for these shipping charges by Credit Card.  Once you pay these shipping charges then we will ship your Nitty Gritty order.

Returns

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (minus shipping charges). All returned items that are supposed to be sealed and new but are opened, will be assessed a 25%restocking fee, or the item(s) will be returned to you at your expense and no credit issued.

We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error if you are located in the United States (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). Defective items are eligible for directreplacement only. If the replacement item is out of stock or the customer is unwilling to take a direct replacement a store credit canbe applied once the item is returned.

If you need to return an item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.

All of our shipments are carefully packaged and visually inspected prior to leaving our warehouse. We apologize if you have received a defective item or one that might have been damaged in shipment. Nitty Gritty stands behind our products and we will happily replace them with a direct replacement (no substitutions) within 30 days of your date of receipt.

Prior to returning any item to Nitty Gritty you must call or e-mail for an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization number).

Items damaged in shipment

If an item is damaged in shipment, you must save all packaging and notify us immediately (within 1 business day)! We will process a claim with the shipper and ship a replacement item to you. We will inform you what steps must be taken with your damaged item/package within 24 business hours after contacting us.

Defective Items *

INittyGritty will provide a return shipping label for all USA customers forany defective item. We will only send 1 label per shipment. Shipping costs for returning the defective item to Nitty Gritty is the responsibility of the customer for international customers.  Nitty Gritty will return the replacement item(s) to you at no shipping cost(if you are in the contiguous 48 US states) on a future shipment.Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, FPO, APO and International customers will receive an equivalent saving on return shipping as domestic US customers (Amount to be determined by weight of shipment).

* Please note that if defective merchandise proves upon testing at Nitty Gritty to be non-defective, a re-stocking fee will be charged at Nitty Gritty’s discretion.

Limited Warranty

NITTY GRITTY will repair any part of the NITTY GRITTY record cleaning system (except the velvet vacuum slot liners and the rubber drive wheel), which has a defect in materials or workmanship, within a period of one year from the date of purchase. The velvet vacuum slot liner (VAC-SWEEP™) and the rubber drive wheel (capstan) are warrantied for a period of 90 days. NITTY GRITTY accepts no liability for the misuse of this device. The warranty for commercial,industrial, and rental users is limited to 90 days from the date of purchase. A COPY OF THE SALES RECEIPT MUST ACCOMPANY ALL WARRANTY REPAIRS. The warranty is not transferable. The use of cleaning fluids other than PURE 1™, PURE 2™ or PUREnzyme+™ may invalidate the warranty.
